Razors Resilient as they score 5 in the ninth in a 9-6 loss

The razors are a sharp, tough minded team never to waiver on a strong pitcher and always
looking to get on base. Bensalem was tough last night as the girls faced an opponent with a 5-1 record, The girls held their own and made a great run in the last inning to put a nice scare into the Ramblers. Missing coach Dan and the Behr girls put a real damper on the game, but the hobbling gimp was not needed as the girls were aggressive on the base paths and stealing home, which they did 4 times!  Coach George did take over 3rd and just as quickly called for a steal at home that restuled in an out.  Gorilla listened to her coach and found herself sliding to an OUT at home.  We need the 'gimp' back!  Not to mention our clubhouse coach, he dressed the part but at times was found lumbering in his chair with the girls unsure as to who was on deck and who was in the hole!

Elayna and great defense made the first two innnings easy they scored 1 run but Elayna's strikes and great plays by the infield kept in close. A fly ball to left caught by Bubbles closed out an inning!
In the third inning like the skies above have been doing so many times this year it started to pour runs. Bensalem slammed the ball where we weren't and all of a sudden a close game was now a 6-1 route.
They hunkered down and worked the count and worked to get on base but the Bensalem pitcher
was too much for them. Danielle took over in the 4th and set the team up nicely. Bubbles made a great stop at second but no way to get the girl out, a long fly ball to centerfield found Maddie's glove but she was unable to hold it, the Ramblers scored 3 more, Good play by Megan and a great throw from Oscar in left field to 3rd got the team out of the inning..  In the following inning Danielle strurk out 2 and kept the game within reach The Razors were held 9-1 in the last inning. Suddenly the bats took off, Danielle started off with a pop fly, that we thought would fall out of the third basemans' glove. Logan had a big single and the team started to roll, Elayna was hit on the foot, Lauren singled and Logan scored. Megan worked hard but couldn't get a hit, Elayna stole home and another run had scored. Madison worked a long, long count, fouling balls off and forcing a walk, Lauren stole home and Oscar walked. Gerdy found the ball and had a nice hit to score 2 more.  Two outs and Gerdy on second, Bubbles came to the plate, she had a nice hit to first base last at bat and the team hoped she would continue. She had a great hit but just not enough. For this young team to hold this 5-1 team to nine runs and scare them in the last inning was certainly a thrill.  The girls are showcasing their hitting, running and defense. No balls get bast these outfielders and they continue to make great plays!  Maddieessahhn has been awesome at first base and her move to center was different for her she still worked it and came up with a ball in her glove.  She has been patient and particular at the plate which secured another run by having a walk issued to her, which won her Game ball!

Morrisville no Match for the Razors!  16-6 Win!

The Razors were missing our trusty catchers and our very regarded  glove in left field.  CAlling around the team was able to have
three substitutes from teh powder blue team that were able add the punch and allow the girls to use the mercy rule!  On a unfamiliar hot, sunny afternoon the girls played as a team and patiently worked the count, got on base and scored.  Coach Mike made it even with out Megan, trying out his newfangled scoreboard form. Elayna took the mound and one she had her groove sailed through the lineup nicely. The infield and outfield did a nice job of making her job easy. Madisahn continues to be a vacuum at first base and suck up every ball she can.  Big E made some terrific plays as well with good solid throws from Lauren The girsl started early with 5 runs in the first and a  big hit by lauren. Maddie swung at a wildly thrown 3rd strike and dashed to first to kep the inning alive and add to the score! In the third Elayna had 2 nice strike outs after a few walks, she found her groove and got out of theinning, although allowing 5 runs.  The team came back strong, our old 'Bomber', Heather Detrick scored runs with a good single. Paige flitted over the basepaths and really provided a clinic on how to take a lead, slide and score!  She was tough behind the plate and a good batterymate to Elayna.  In the fourth we realized we needed 4 runs to finish this game.  Alyssa Delaruso hit a line drive between 1st and second and set the table as Bubbles kept it alive with a hit and Big E  seured the win with another big hit.  Bubbles made some memorable plays with a flyout and a play at second that won her game Ball Congrats!

Coaching Staff:

Coach George
215-396-4377

cell: 215-715-4472

Also known as coach "K" he's been striking out minors for over 8 years now! Don't find yourself in the dugout with food, he'll go ballistic and if a parent enters during game time watch out!

Coach Dan

Every once in while Coach Dan will make a game, still learning the 'hits on 3' cheer, he comes in huge when the players need hits. He's been moved to 3rd Base let's hope he can handle things over there!.

Coach Mike 'n' Ike

Back with a newly sharpened pencil, Mike has been assigned the book and 1st base coach.  As long as there's a decent pencil he does a great job on the book and he LOVES to let the girls run!

Coach Terry

He's a very busy man, but if he has time and doesn't bother his daughter he is more then welcome in the dugout. By the way, if you are looking to buy a house, he's your guy. Pizza on Friday nights, we'll see if we're invited this year!

Coach Bob

We're always looking for an extra hand and who knows maybe this year the VP of the league will grace his presence!
